Braided Sand Dollar Quilt

I recently made this table runner for my neighbor who was getting married.

I wanted a simple pattern that I could whip up quickly, and use fabric I already had.
(Truth is: I was moving and had like, no time and no money.)

I quilted the inside braid with a straight stitch that ran 1/4" from each seam on each side.
Then I quilted the borders with a cute sand dollar design.
(My neighbor was attending BYU-Hawaii to become a marine biologist, I thought it was fitting)

I always love how the back of the quilts look, you can see the stitching so well.

Attempted another machine stitched binding... I need practice.

Anyway, there it is.  I hope you like it as much as I do.
