Snowman Wall Hanging

This project was used for the sole purpose of practicing my free motion quilting.

I bought this panel a while ago because I thought it cute.  Had no idea what I was going to do with it.  Then I decided to use it for my practicing. 

I simply outlined a lot of it, like the Snowmen.

I traced the snowflakes so they popped just a little bit. 

And did a little work around the frames of the snowmen families. 

I quilted the negative space in the frames with small circles so the snowmen popped out.

I quilted the negative space in the quilt with a meandering pattern of loops and small snowflakes.

I'm looking forward to hanging it beside my Christmas Tree this year.
