I made this quilt for my eldest daughter when she outgrew her crib. Her baby quilt, made by my Mother-In-Law just didn't look right on that big bed. I based the colors on the sheet set that she chose herself.
I really love how the dark purple just pops out. That could be because it's my favorite color, and that makes me happy.
I backed the quilt with flannel, so it would be slightly warmer, I quilted it on a Long-Arm with meandering flowers. It's the only chance that I have had to use that wonderful machine. One day I will have one.... I might be an old lady by then, but I will.
I made this quilt nearly 5 years ago and it's still one of my favorites.
